Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

By using PULSE, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

2. The service

PULSE is a Windows desktop application that optimizes system settings for gaming performance. It modifies Windows registry settings, power plans, GPU driver parameters, network configuration, and other system settings. PULSE requires administrator privileges for most features. All changes are designed to be reversible.

3. System modifications

PULSE may modify the following on your system:

A backup of your original settings is created before modifications. You can revert changes at any time through the app, and the uninstaller will attempt to restore all modified settings.

4. Account & subscription

An account is required to use PULSE Pro. Pro features require an active subscription. Each subscription includes one device slot by default. Additional device slots can be purchased at the same rate as your base subscription — for example, an Early Supporter on the $19.99/year plan pays $19.99/year per extra slot, while a standard subscriber pays $29.99/year per extra slot. This prevents abuse of the Early Supporter discount and keeps multi-device pricing fair across all customers. Devices are bound via a hardware fingerprint generated locally on first activation. Sharing accounts or circumventing device limits is prohibited.

5. Free trial

Pro subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged. After the trial converts, the subscription auto-renews at the price displayed at sign-up until cancelled.

6. Early Supporter pricing

For the first 3 months after PULSE launches we offer an Early Supporter price ($19.99/year or $3.99/month). Early Supporter pricing is a permanent rate lock — as long as your subscription stays continuously active, your renewal price will never increase, even after the standard rate ($29.99/year) takes effect for new customers. The 3-month window is calculated from the public launch date and applies to all new sign-ups during that period.

If you cancel and later resubscribe, you will be billed at the standard rate in effect at that time. Early Supporter is a limited-availability promotion that ends automatically when the 3-month window closes.

7. Free tier

The free tier includes real-time monitoring (CPU, GPU, RAM, network, temperatures), FPS and frametime tracking via RTSS, hardware information, DPC latency monitoring, and session history. These features work with a free account and will always remain free.

8. Pro features

9. Refunds

PULSE offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first paid charge — no questions asked. Renewals, lifetime purchases past the window, and Early Supporter slot fees are subject to additional rules. The complete refund process, eligibility windows, exclusions, and how to request a refund are documented in our dedicated Refund Policy.

10. Use at your own risk

PULSE modifies low-level system settings that can affect system stability. GPU overclocking in particular carries inherent risks including potential hardware damage from excessive settings. While hardware-clamped safety limits are enforced, you use the software at your own risk. We are not liable for any hardware damage, data loss, system instability, or performance degradation that results from use of PULSE.

11. Anti-cheat compatibility

PULSE does not inject into game processes, read game memory, modify game files, or use kernel-level drivers. It only modifies system-level settings (Windows registry, GPU driver parameters, power plans, network configuration). It is designed to be compatible with all major anti-cheat systems (EAC, BattlEye, Vanguard, VAC). However, we make no formal guarantees regarding any particular anti-cheat — vendors update their detection logic continuously. Use in competitive games is at your own discretion.

12. Prohibited use

13. Email communications

By creating an account or contacting us, you agree to receive transactional and support emails at the address on file: account verification, password resets, receipts, subscription-status updates (renewals, lapses), and replies to inquiries you send us. We do not send marketing email without an additional opt-in. To stop receiving subscription-status emails, cancel your subscription. Account-security emails (password reset, suspicious-login alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active. Inbound mail you send us is processed and retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Third-party software

PULSE includes open-source components listed in the THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file distributed with the application. PULSE also interfaces with proprietary GPU driver libraries (NVIDIA NvAPI, AMD ADL/ADLX) and the RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) for FPS measurement, all of which are governed by their respective vendor agreements. RTSS is not bundled and must be installed separately.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts associated with violations of these terms. Termination ends your right to use Pro features but does not entitle you to a refund unless you are still within the 14-day refund window. You can request full account and data deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via the in-app changelog and the website. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by general consumer-protection principles applicable in the user's jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms excludes any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under local law.
